Sometimes I wish that we could celebrate Thanksgiving every week. No, not because of all the overeating of wonderfully delicious food, but because it is a reminder to be thankful for what you have. As the week is winding down, there is a lot that I’m thankful for.
I’m thankful for wonderful roommates. Since this is my first semester at the big UT, I was slightly afraid that I would have trouble meeting people or that I would hate my roomies. Crisis averted. We are all so incredibly different, but I think that is why we get along so well. We spend a lot of time together doing normal things like hitting up the local frozen yogurt joint, grocery shopping, having a big family meal together at the apartment, or going to see some Disney movie playing downtown. I could not be more blessed to have these girls in my life.
I’m thankful for unexpected love. Last week while I was studying for my psychology midterm and flipping through the masses of notecards I made, I came across one that really stood out. As soon as I saw it, I knew that AL had made it for me and put it in there without me knowing. Talk about some inspiration. Then my lovely friend Robyn has blessed me with sending me lots of love in the forms of cards to my apartment. I’m a huge snail mail fan so it always makes my day. She is wonderful enough to even throw in some Subway and Panera gift cards too. Thankful!
I’m thankful for my roomie’s boyfriend, Brandon. He spends a lot of time with us at our apartment and is such a fun person to be around. We constantly hound Andrea on how she needs to keep him. We awoke earlier this week to find that he had made us muffins for breakfast. Keeper for sure.
What are you thankful for this week?? I know my list was a little short, but these things have been the driving force behind getting me through this week!
