Let me begin by saying how devastating the loss in Connecticut is. As a teacher-to-be I cannot fathom the intense fear that those involved in this massacre must have felt, but my sincere condolences are with all involved. What happened was a true tragedy. May healing come to that community.
Instead of posting today, I just want to be silent and not focus on publishing a blog post. My friend Jocelyn had wise words when she stated:
“It is so strange that no matter what happens, the world keeps turning. That’s life, right?”
There is so much truth in that statement. Yes, life does go on and the world keeps turning, even if we don’t want it to. But for today, I will be silent and grieve for the lives lost.
