Firsts and Lasts

There is always a first time for everything.  But I completely love the fact that there is also a last time for everything, too.  Today is my last first day of undergrad. Four years have flown by and I never thought I would be saying that I’m a college graduate.  But my time is coming.

Speaking of lasts, last night was probably my last time on a treadmill.  I procrastinated all day by not getting in my 3 miles and it came back to bite me in the butt.  8 o clock rolled around and I still hadn’t done it.  So the treadmill it was.  I probably have not done anything on a treadmill in over a year.  Now I remember why.  Having to do 3 miles on it is a reminder to never procrastinate on miles again.

cute, right?

Also along with some firsts-last night I co-taught my first class as a fitness instructor.  I was only in charge of the warm up, but I did okay given the fact that I hadn’t planned on teaching.  It is so obvious how uncoordinated I am, but my class was very supportive of me!  Hopefully when I go back next week to teach the same group of people, I’ll be able to teach the class a little longer.  I love getting closer to being an independent instructor.

Happy Hump Day!  Do you love or hate the ol’ treadmill?  What is your favorite kind of fitness class to take?

  1. I am a treadmill hater, I have done my best not to run on the treadmill since sometime last year. I even ran in the rain on January 1st so I wouldn’t have to run on the treadmill. It’s just so BORING! Even watching a movie doesn’t distract me. I just don’t get the gratification of running when I am running on the treadmill.

  2. That is some stellar running form in the pic…toe striking and all!! I absolutely DESPISE the treadmill. Like 1 mile seems like 100. I try to avoid it at all costs, but I am thinking when I go to IL later this month for work, that might be my only choice. ugh! Congrats on teaching your first class!!

  3. Congratulations on co-teaching your first group fitness class! I know how nerve wracking that can be (I was in your shoes just a few short months ago). Keep up the good work. You will be a pro in no time!

  4. haha great reminder to get the miles in early. cotton + the most unforgiving color, grey. I made that mistake once- i stay away from gray at all costs when working out

Say hi; don't be shy!
